Covering much of the length of the Bristol Channel, the Somerset coastline features soaring cliffs, golden sand beaches, wet lands and the second highest tidal range in the world!

Weston super mare remains a firm favourite, comprising a classic Victorian beachside resort with a focus on family seaside fun. With a vast stretch of golden sand, take a stroll whatever the weather. Dogs are allowed on the section of beach between The Grand Pier and Royal Sands from the beginning of October until the end of April.
Alternatively, you might like to explore Sand Bay all year round ( it is also known as Weston-super-Mare’s hidden gem), a wild beach that offers unspoilt views across the Bristol Channel to Wales.
Or if you are looking for a quiet spot away from it all, take the dogs and head to Uphill Beach. You can park right on the beach, and the sandy stretch goes on for miles, offering you and your dog the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs.
