SeaQuarium on the promenade in Weston Super Mare

Situated on it’s own unique pier not far from the Grand Pier.

The aquarium showcases a range of freshwater, marine and tropical species from around the world in 10 different zones. There are over 30 exhibits including a Tropical Reef Zone with Puffer Fish, Rainforest River Zone with Piranha and Underwater Ocean Tunnel with sharks.

West Somerset Railway – Bishops Lydeard (Taunton) to Minehead.

Our Railway, a true country branch line of the old Great Western Railway is full of fascination whether you are looking for a nostalgic ride back in time through lovely countryside or to study the railway and industrial heritage which our line preserves..

The historic steam locomotives, coaches and wagons, and the buildings of our ten unique stations linked by a twenty mile scenic journey will repay hours of exploration. The surrounding countryside is as varied as it is beautiful.

Tip – check the timetable so you get the steam train (not the diesel)

Tip – get off at Dunster and see the old town and Dunster Castle.

Wookey Hole

For centuries people have been marvelling at these astounding caves and their natural beauty.

New for 2019 is Chamber 20 – recently blasted tunnels now give us access to this amazing chamber, which opens up previously unseen caverns and formations.

Tip – ring and check how many of the caves are actually open that day..
